Most Qanity data stays on your iPhone.
Qanity stores your settings, selected calculation method, saved masjids, selected apps, mood history, saved content, protection sessions, progress, and streaks locally. Qanity does not upload this personal worship history to an account or use it to rank, advertise to, or compare you with anyone else.
Apple’s Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks protect the apps you select. Qanity does not receive a readable inventory of those apps from Apple.
Accounts are optional.
If you choose Sign in with Apple, Qanity sends Apple’s identity token to Supabase Auth. Supabase stores an account identifier and may store the name and relay or personal email address Apple provides. Qanity uses this information to authenticate you, show account status, and support account deletion. Signing in does not upload your local worship, mood, location, or protection history.
Location is used for prayer times and Masjid Mode.
With your permission, Qanity uses your current coordinates on-device to calculate prayer times. If you save a masjid and enable automatic Masjid Mode, iOS monitors the region so protection can begin and end at the masjid. Qanity does not create or send a location history to its servers.
You can choose a location manually, remove saved masjids, or change location permission in iOS Settings.
Mood matching stays on your iPhone.
When you select a mood, Qanity uses administrator-reviewed mood and topic mappings to choose from human-verified content already available to the app. Your selected mood and matching history do not leave your device.
Qanity does not generate or alter Qur’an, hadith, duʿāʾ, translations, citations, authenticity labels, or religious rulings.
Anonymous diagnostics require a separate opt-in.
If you enable diagnostics, Qanity sends allowlisted feature, reliability, app-version, iOS-version, device-family, and coarse language-group events. The app creates a random identifier that changes each UTC day. The server salts and hashes it before storage, keeps daily active-device records for 35 days, and reports aggregate device-days rather than a cross-day user profile.
Diagnostics exclude identity, email, mood, precise location, selected apps, prayer history, saved content, sacred text, translations, and citations. Qanity does not use advertising identifiers or third-party advertising analytics.
Apple processes Qanity Plus purchases.
Subscriptions are purchased and managed through the App Store. Qanity uses StoreKit to read Apple-verified product and entitlement status. Qanity does not receive or store your payment-card number.
You decide what to send to support.
The Contact Qanity screen prepares an email in your chosen mail app. You can review the recipient, subject, message, reply address, device version details, and any screenshot before sending. Qanity receives only the email you choose to send and uses it to answer your request.
Service providers have narrow roles.
Qanity uses Supabase for public verified content, optional authentication, account deletion, aggregate diagnostics, and rate limiting. Apple provides authentication, subscriptions, notification, location, Screen Time, and device frameworks. Qanity requires these providers to process data only for these purposes and to protect it consistently with this policy. They may also process limited technical and security information under their published terms.
Qanity does not sell personal data, share data for behavioral advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Information may be disclosed if required by law or needed to protect the security and integrity of the service.
Off-device data has defined limits.
Optional Supabase account data is kept until you delete the account. A daily database cleanup deletes daily unlinkable active-device hashes after 35 days, aggregate diagnostic metrics after 13 months, and hashed telemetry rate-limit records after 24 hours.
Qanity reviews its support mailbox every three months and deletes messages 24 months after the last reply unless they are still needed to resolve a request, prevent abuse, or meet a legal obligation.
You can turn features off and delete data.
In Qanity’s Privacy Center, you can disable anonymous diagnostics and delete mood history, session history, or all local app data. Account management lets you sign out or permanently delete your Qanity account. Account deletion removes the account record from Qanity’s active systems; limited security logs may remain until the provider’s published retention period ends. You can also revoke location, notification, Screen Time, and photo access in iOS Settings.
We may update this policy when Qanity’s practices change. The effective date above will change when an update is published. For privacy questions or requests, email support@qanity.com.
